For this work I have decided to make an animated tour of the yoga studio that I go to. I felt like I wanted to show off everything that Toledo Yoga entails and where/ what everything is. When I was first a new student, I know it can be hard to find everything and also feel comfortable in a new space. So I wanted to express the fact that at Toledo Yoga everyone is very welcoming and the ending represents how we all are a part of a wonderful community that wants new people to join. I used small signs that pop up throughout the video to represent little signs and use to show off the space for everyone who is new to this place.

Jazele Assignment 3
For this assignment I decided to use the practice of yoga to represent my self portrait. I have really been getting more and more into yoga and the benefits of clearing your mind that come along with it. For this I decided to create my own small sequence flow and go through it in a way that people would be interested to view/ breathe along. The circles represent the importance of breath in yoga. While the circle expands it means to breathe in and while it contacts you breathe out, with small breaks at the end of the inhale and exhale. Each movement is aligned with the breathe as with yoga that is how you should focus, to maintain nd mind body connection.

Assignment 3 so far
This is what I have forsake that I know I'm going to use. The circles expand as we breathe in and contract as we breathe out- breath is very important in yoga and that's why I'm visually symbolizing it.
I am working with the background currently and have a few different ideas and starts for it but that's mostly what I'm looking for insight on.

Project 3 research examples and Drafts
Yoga Pose from Kritwalee Seneetantikul on Vimeo.
This video I found because I'm thinking of making a yoga-themed- video. I want to show the unique motions and relations of the poses. This video interested me because it started to make me think of what the backgrounds could be doing in my video.

Assignment Two
For this assignment we were supposed to make a short video of an "animated logo." When I heard this I was very excited to start; I knew instantly that I was going to create a video "ad" showing off the fact I have a website for my ceramics! When I created my Instagram a few weeks ago I used ._. as a part of my "branding" and even have put that now on my business cards. So that is what I decided to finalize as being my "logo" and I decided to go ahead and animate that face and turn it into a clay blob that would somehow turn into a representation of a vase or some sort of ceramic product I make. I also really enjoy making my videos loop, so I decided to make that an aspect as well in this video. I am planning to show this on instagram and mostly on social media like that which is why I made it so simple and easy to read, also that was one of my reasons for wanting a loop. Im hoping that this will be shared around accounts and therefore lead people to my site to create more buyers and viewers on my site. In this project, I also really tried to pay attention to the principles of animation by creating easy eases, secondary motions when things bump into one another, squashing and stretching, and staging. I also used some sound effects to make it a tad more interesting, but also to help people understand what was going on, like the rolling of the clay ball or spinning of the wheel for example. I love the way it came out, and I think I did a great job and am proud of the final product I was able to come up with!

12 Principles Reading and example
I saw this commercial on tv and just had to use it for this assignment. I think the way this commercial uses its text and effects for it is so effective and you can really tell they are using the 12 principles of animation to create these fluid effects. For example, towards the end where it says bounce back, it has it bounce and also it has one word get affected by the other in a way to show them bumping into each other; which means they were using the idea of secondary motion. The way the words move seem to be using ease in and outs, as well as squash and stretch. I also think it does a good job of using exaggeration in the way the words shape changes overall to create life to the words; overall this video really shows a lot of elements of the 12 principles of animation and is a great example of a real life use of this that I have seen in my daily life.

3 Artists or Studios I like for Motion Graphics
This person has a variety of types of motion graphics they make. But what caught. my eye most were the simple figures doing very eloquent motions. The way that the artist has these characters moving so swiftly I what makes this motion graphic art so good. All of the motions feel like they move to perfectly together and they do not feel bland at all.
Here is my next company that I like. I enjoyed this one right away because of how interesting the website is. I like how instantly when you go on the website you encounter motion graphics worked into their site and how you use it and interact with it. This is a company that makes graphic videos for other companies, but in general they have a very nice company due to their motion graphic skills.

I think this company does a great job at being a motion graphics video creation business for other businesses. I really like that they tailor their styles based off of the company in which they are creating the video for. All of the ones I watched seemed to have great motion and transition between scenes which make the whole thing flow so well.

Layered 10 second video
Layered video from jazele rabbani on Vimeo.
Here is my practice layered video. It is of my two favorite places in one screen.
I do not have access to premiere on a laptop so I use the iPad version and it doesn’t have a green screening effect.

Assignment three
Jazele Assignment Three from jazele rabbani on Vimeo.
Here is my project for this assignment. I wanted to go off my drawing practice and make it better. I do think I was successful in making this. But honestly I didn’t enjoy making it. I tried to make it better for myself by creating shape cut outs and moving these rather than drawing each circle because it left behind the pencil marks. I also created a room as an atmosphere so that it could have space to bounce within. Doing this on my iPad has been extremely hard also due to the fact that I don’t have access to many editing apps. I would say I think my video is good for this assignment based on my lack of resources, the amount of time this took me, and the amount of frames I created to make this work. Also my shape isn’t 1920x1080 because I was not able to do that with the editing app I was forced to use. And for the sound I decided to put kids playing outside with ambient outdoor sounds. I did this to counter the image of a ball alone inside- so I put the outside with kids and people creating sounds and playing without the ball that would be what would make sense to be getting played with.

Artist Stop Animation I Enjoyed
Nada Fruit Stop-motion commercial from Andre Maat on Vimeo.
After searching for a very long time for a stop motion that i enjoyed, i finally found this one. I felt like this stop motion was so successful in looking interesting and doing something that captures the viewer. I like the way that each fruit is treated differently based on its traits. And then depending on what the fruit did and how the hand interacted with it, it then turns into the bottle of juice that was being represented or "created" by the moves the hand did with the fruit. The background mainly stays the same with a little bit of variation in each frame; this idea of slight change is shown in this by looking like wind in the tall grass, i think this works very well. It makes it look very natural while not making too much background motion that would be distracting or not enough because it just being still would be boring and this would not be as successful. Also the sound is not distracting, it goes along well with the video and it does a successful job at making this appear as an ad but still be entertaining to watch.
5 Second Drawing animation
5 second drawing stop motion from jazele rabbani on Vimeo.
This is my drawing animation. I actually enjoyed making this one and think it came out cool. If I were to try again I would probably try and make the circle look like it gets squished when it hits the edges and bounces off. Also I don’t really like the drawing aspect because it shows all the previous marks due to my eraser not being able to completely erase them. Also I am editing on an ipad because that is all I have so that is why there are black bars and the size is odd

Cereal trail from jazele rabbani on Vimeo.
Here is my first try doing stop motion. I wanted the cereal to create a trail and turn into a spiral. Towards the end I started to get it to flow better. This was quite hard since I didn’t know how the photos would transition from one another
Also was hard because I had to use my phone with no proper tripod or any equipment, as well as having to use phone apps to create this
But overall it sort of cake out how I wanted

Assignment Two
JazeleAssignmentTwo from jazele rabbani on Vimeo.
With this project I decided tong with a theme I've been working.on lately. This is trying to point out nature in neighborhoods while exposing the fact that people have just taken over nature with little to no thought ever put in about that. People walk and drive through their own and other neighborhoods everyday, but in reality those didn't just appear. There were trees and forests, and now just houses with people inside and the nature being ignored. I used sound to differentiate the sounds of nature vs man. The left side is natural, while the right side has to do with the construction and building of the neighborhoods. I am actually very happy with the way this came out, in the beginning I was having trouble with creating sounds that related well and worked well together. I think it accurately separates one from another while showing a message lying beneath the sounds and video.
