response to "how to choose a font"

"How to Choose a Font" explained in detail many different types of fonts and how to choose which one is appropriate to what you may be using it for. A font needs to be legible and readable and must give off whatever feeling you are trying to imply through the message. It goes on to explain what it means to be legible and readable and how even the way you align text or its color can mess up the readability. You must also pay attention to your design intent and choice of aesthetics to use a text that is coherent with the mood you are aiming to convey. You will be able to tell when a font looks good, but make sure you know why it looks good so that you know it will appear that way to everyone. Don't choose a font based on its name and it having to do with your theme because it won't necessarily look good. Have other people agree that your font fits its purpose, to ensure from a point of view other than your own. Don't always try to go way out of the ordinary and use fonts that are not commonly used because they may not be too common for a reason. And lastly it said after you learn all the rules you will be able to break some on occasion and have it work well for you.
